QUICK RECOMMENDATION // SERVICE FIT

Is this the right service?

Choose AIURION for PETG when an everyday functional part needs toughness and more heat margin than a PLA fit model. Compare the available grade and color against your application, then quote the actual CAD.

SERVICE DETAILS // HOW IT WORKS

PETG for practical, functional parts.

Select PETG for the part's job: fit, toughness, environment, and finish. A filament grade name alone does not predict the time needed to print your geometry.

01

A step beyond a fit model

PETG is useful for functional prototypes, tools, and utility housings that need durability and moisture resistance. Check loading and long-term deformation when a part stays under tension.

02

Choose the actual grade

PETG Basic and PETG HF have separate published data and stocked colors. HF is not a promise of a faster job. Use the grade shown in your quote when evaluating the finished part or placing a repeat order.

03

One material rate across PETG

Both listed PETG grades are $0.05/g for material. The $100 job minimum applies once to material plus machine time at $60/hour, including setup and cooldown. Material is included in the minimum. Rush, fulfillment, tax, and separately quoted hardware are additional. PETG includes a 10-minute setup and cooldown allowance per occupied plate.

This service covers PETG as a family. PETG Basic is the general-purpose choice; PETG HF remains listed where currently stocked. Select the exact option in the quote tool.

MAT_03

PETG Basic

Orange

Material: $0.05/g

BEST FOR

Functional brackets, clips, housings, tools, field-test parts, evaluated outdoor accessories, and durable utility components.

APPLICATION LIMIT

PETG Basic is not a high-temperature or safety-rated material. Final suitability still depends on load, geometry, UV duration, chemicals, and consequences of failure.

MAT_04

PETG HF

White or Black

Material: $0.05/g

BEST FOR

Functional brackets, clips, housings, tools, field-test parts, and repeat orders where a consistent soft-matte finish matters.

APPLICATION LIMIT

PETG HF has different published mechanical values from PETG Basic. It is not a high-temperature or safety-rated material.

TURNAROUND // EXPECTATIONS

Plan your PETG print and local handoff.

Many standard jobs take 24–48 hours. Same-day options depend on the model, material preparation, print duration, and the current queue.

01

Upload the production file

InstantQuote accepts STL, OBJ, STEP, STP, and 3MF files up to 5 MB each. Select material, color, quantity, and fulfillment to see the quote.

02

Confirm the production window

A technician reviews the file before production. Include your required pickup or delivery time so we can confirm whether same-day service is feasible.

03

Collect or receive your parts

Choose Downtown San Francisco pickup, Bay Area courier, or US shipping. Shipping transit is separate from production time.

PART EXAMPLES // APPLICATIONS

Useful PETG parts.

These are application candidates. The finished part's geometry, print orientation, and operating conditions determine its performance.

PART_01

Brackets and sensor mounts

Build utility mounts with controlled clearances and fastener positions. Align the load and print orientation with the intended use.

PART_02

Clips and cable guides

Prototype retention features and routing guides. Test the deflection and repeated insertion needed at the clip.

PART_03

Housings and covers

Make a durable shell around development electronics, leaving room for assembly and connectors. Printed construction alone does not establish an ingress rating.

PART_04

Assembly aids

Produce organizers, spacers, and guides for repeated handling where an appearance-only model is not enough.

BEFORE PRODUCTION // CHECKLIST

Define fit and loading before printing.

PETG works best when the design accounts for the real interfaces and service conditions.

01

Show mating geometry

Include hole sizes, hardware, snap features, and the surfaces that must fit. Tell us which dimensions matter most.

02

Describe use and exposure

Identify repeated bending, constant load, heat, cleaners, and sunlight. Consider ASA for sustained outdoor exposure or TPU for soft contact.

03

Keep repeat orders traceable

Save the CAD revision and quoted PETG grade. Confirm the current color and grade before reordering; different formulations should not be treated as mechanically identical.

KNOWLEDGE BASE // FAQ

Questions about petg 3d printing in san francisco.

These answers describe the current AIURION print service. The actual file, application, quantity, and active production queue determine the final plan.

01 Should I choose PETG or PLA?

Choose PLA for rigid indoor fit checks and presentation models. Consider PETG for tougher utility parts, moisture exposure, and more heat margin. Neither material name replaces checking the actual temperature, load, and part geometry.

02 Do you offer PETG Basic or PETG HF?

The current catalog includes PETG Basic and PETG HF, with their available colors shown below and in InstantQuote. Both are covered by this PETG service page. Choose the exact stocked option when ordering; do not assume HF produces a faster finished job.

03 Can PETG parts be used outdoors?

PETG can suit evaluated outdoor applications, but ASA is a better starting point for sustained sunlight and weather exposure. Consider UV duration, temperature, loading, and the expected service life.

04 How much does PETG 3D printing cost?

PETG Basic: $0.05/g; PETG HF: $0.05/g for material. The $100 job minimum applies once to material plus machine time at $60/hour, including setup and cooldown. Material is included in the minimum. Rush, fulfillment, tax, and separately quoted hardware are additional. The per-gram rate is not the complete print price; upload your model for the job total.

05 Can you print PETG the same day in San Francisco?

Same-day pickup or Bay Area courier is available for feasible jobs after file review. Material preparation, geometry, print duration, quantity, and capacity determine the confirmed window. Many standard orders take 24–48 hours.

06 What file formats do you accept?

Upload STL, OBJ, STEP, STP, or 3MF files, up to 5 MB per file. Confirm units, dimensions, and the final CAD revision before ordering.
