APPLICATION LIMIT Use caution around sustained heat, outdoor exposure, repeated impact, long-term load, or safety-critical service.
DECISION RULE Choose PLA when dimensional clarity, rigidity, surface quality, and fast iteration matter most.

An appearance-focused PLA with a subdued surface that reduces glare and makes layer lines less prominent.
BEST FOR Visible housings, demo hardware, architectural models, display pieces, and presentation-ready prototypes.
APPLICATION LIMIT The refined finish does not add heat resistance or certify the part for structural, outdoor, or safety-critical use.
DECISION RULE Choose Matte PLA when presentation quality matters more than maximum mechanical performance.

PETG
Bambu Lab PETG
A tougher general-purpose material for functional parts that need more durability, moisture resistance, and heat margin than PLA.
BEST FOR Functional brackets, clips, housings, tools, field-test parts, evaluated outdoor accessories, and durable utility components.
APPLICATION LIMIT PETG is not a high-temperature or safety-rated material. Final suitability still depends on load, geometry, UV duration, chemicals, and consequences of failure.
DECISION RULE Choose PETG for tougher utility parts, repeated handling, moisture exposure, and a higher service-temperature margin.
